Bandipur Safari Lodge is located halfway down the
Mysore-Ooty

Bandipur National Park. The mountain breeze flowing
down the vales of the picturesque Nilgiris invites

Nestling in the foothills of the Nilgiris, the
Bandipur National Park was formed by extending the
Venugopal Wildlife Park, set up in 1931 by the
Mysore Maharajas. It is now one of the tiger
reserves in the country. It also forms a part of
Nilgiri Biosphere Reserve, which is the one of the
last refuges of endangered Asiatic wild elephants.

Biligiri Rangan Hills (BR Hills) a lesser known pristine forests lies on the northernmost
of the Nilgiris, connecting the Eastern & Western Ghats. The BR Hills Wildlife Sanctuary is situated in the Chamarajanagar district of south-eastern Karnataka. Rising over 5000ft and encompassing an area of 540 sq.km, these densely forested rolling hills link both the Eastern & Western Ghats. This unique corridor and the wide-ranging climatic conditions provide an idyllic backdrop that allows seamless genetic flow and a highly diverse set of habitats for wildlife to thrive.
The moist deciduous forests on the lower slopes of the Western Ghats and adjoining hill ranges,
provide safe harbor to many large wildlife species from tigers and elephants to many species of birds and amphibians. Deciduous forests constitute the largest percentage of forest type in India.
At Gorukana, you can set your own pace. Sit by the lake and watch the kingfisher making a vertical dive for its lunch or gaze at the clouds from the hammock, as the langur monkeys alert the forest of a passing predator. Or simply lie back in your cottage or tent and catch up on your reading.

The

The Kabini River runs between
Bandipur and Nagarahole, two of the richest National Parks at
the foothills of the Western Ghats in Southern India. These
forests cover 1500 sq. km (580 sq. miles)
and are a mix of tropical moist and dry deciduous types.

Day 01:
Bangalore - Kabini
Pickup from Bangalore
railway station and drive to Kabini. Check in Cicada
Resort. Settle down and freshen up. Treat yourself
to a sumptuous lunch at the Gol Ghar. Evening at
1600hrs gear up for a ride into the Park with tea/
coffee served at the Gol Ghar. At 1630hrs you will
be taken by our naturalists on a wildlife jeep
safari into the Nagarhole National Park, showing &
sharing with you their experiences and information
about the jungle and all the animals that live
there. Late evening watch a wildlife movie at the
Viceroy's building. At 2030hrs Bask in the warmth of
the campfire, while you dine in the Gol Ghar.

Day 02:
Kabini
After early morning cup
of tea/coffee, Cruise through the serene backwaters
of the Kabini River on a motor boat viewing sleepy
crocodiles and chirpy birds, intent on their morning
catch. View a variety of wildlife, especially the
elephants, coming to the river for bath or a drink.
Alternatively, you can go on a jeep safari to sight
the animals, and have a ride on the elephant in the
jungle, which means you can have the boat ride the
evening before. Overnight stay at Cicada Resort.
Day 03:
Kabini-Mysore-Bangalore
After Breakfast, check
out and drive to Bangalore en-route
visit the city palace at Mysore. After reaching
Bangalore, Drop at the Railway Station / Airport to connect to your destination.
