The dominant features of south
India are the tropical climate less harsh than the northern
States, lush green tropical vegetation in the coastal areas and
the architecture, culture, languages and lifestyle which had
remained essentially Dravidian at the core in spite of repeated
exposures to alien influences. In spite of the seeming
similarity, each State has different scenery, festivals,
architecture and subtle cultural variations to offer, each State
in its own right a fascinating tourist destination. Pondicherry
and Lakshadweep are again utterly different from the four
traditional States of Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and
Kerala.
5 Nights / 6 Days: Chennai - Tirupathi -
Bangalore - Mysore - Chennai
DAY 01:
Chennai
Arrive Chennai. Meet and transfer to Ambica best
western. City tour and shopping. Overnight stay at
Hotel Ambica.
DAY 02:
Chennai - Tirupati
Depart for Tirupati after breakfast, arrive Tirupati
after 4 1/2 hrs drive. Check-in Hotel Guestline or
similar. Visit Lord Balaji in the evening
Darshan (Guest should get the darshan band on
arrival and then check-in to hotel). Return to
Tirupati. Overnight stay at Hotel.
DAY 03:
Tirupati - Bangalore
Breakfast and drive to Bangalore (6 hrs drive).
Arrive and check-in Hotel Ramanashree or similar. Bangalore
city tour covering visit to Vidhan soudha (photo
stop) cubbon park, lalbaugh gardens, Nandi temple
etc, evening is free for shopping.
DAY 04:
Bangalore - Mysore
B/fast. Drive from Bangalore to Mysore. Enroute
visit the ruined city of Srirangapatnam. Then
proceed on to Mysore. Afternoon visit the city
palace and evening visit Brindavan gardens.
DAY 05:
Mysore - Chennai
B/fast, morning visit Chamundi hills and will have
time for shopping. At 2 pm depart Mysore to Chennai
by Shatabdi expess and arrive Chennai by 21.30 hrs.
Meet and transfer to Hotel Ambica Empire or similar.
DAY 06:
Chennai
Full day free for local sight seeing and shopping.
Late evening drop at the Airport/Railway station.
