8 Nights / 7 Days WALK WITH THE BUDDHA

Day - 01
DELHI

Upon arrival at New Delhi, you will be met by our representative and transferred to the hotel. Check-in at the hotel. In the evening visit to Raj Ghat, India Gate, Birla Mandir. Overnight: stay at Delhi.

Day - 02
DELHI – AGRA (APPROX. 4-5 HRS) (B)

After breakfast at the hotel; proceed for sightseeing visiting the Qutab Minar and Lotus Temple. By noon check-out of the hotel and proceed to Agra. Arrive at Agra and check-in at the hotel. Overnight: stay at Agra.

After breakfast at the hotel; proceed for sightseeing visiting the Taj Mahal & Agra Fort. By Noon check out of the hotel. In the evening you will be transferred to the Railway station in time to board the train to Varanasi. Overnight: on board the train.

Upon arrival at Varanasi you will be met by our representative and transferred to the hotel. In the afternoon proceed for a tour to Sarnath - here Lord Buddha preached his first sermon to his five disciples after he attained enlightenment at Bodhgaya. Here visit Dhamekha Stupa, Ashok Pillar, Chowkhandi Stupa, and Mulagandha Kuti Vihar. Overnight: stay at Varanasi.

Early morning take a boat ride on river Ganges to see sunrise. Return to the hotel for breakfast and later proceed for a city tour of Varanasi visiting the Ghats and Temples on the bank of river Ganges. In the afternoon you are free for individual activities or Shopping for Banaras Sarees. Overnight: at Varanasi.

DAY 06:
VARANASI – BODHGAYA (APPROX. 6-7 HRS) (B)

After breakfast check out of the hotel and proceed to Bodhgaya the place where Lord Buddha attained enlightenment. Upon arrival, check-in at the hotel. Overnight: stay at Hotel.

DAY 07:
BODHGAYA (B)

After breakfast at the hotel; proceed for a full day city tour of Bodhgaya visitin Bodhi tree, Mahabodhi Temple – which marks the spot where Buddha gained enlightenment and set out on his life of preaching, Monasteries, Magadha university etc. Overnight: at Bodhgaya.

DAY 08:
BODHGAYA – RAJGIR – NALANDA – PATNA (APPROX. 6-7 HRS) (B)

After breakfast check out of the hotel and proceed to Patna, en-route visiting Rajgir -Buddha spent 12 years and the first Buddha council after Buddha attained nirvana was held here. Nalanda is just 19 Kms from Rajgir, Founded in 5th century BC, was one of the world's great universities and an important Buddhist center until its sacking by the Afghans in the 12th century. A credit to the curators, the site is peaceful, clean, well-maintained and perfumed with the scent of roses and shrubs, upon arrival check-in at the hotel. Overnight: stay at Patna.

DAY 09
PATNA – VAISHALI – KUSHINAGAR (APPROX. 8-9 HRS) (B)

Breakfast at Hotel; Morning drive to Kushinagar - Lord Buddha is reputed to have breathed his last words “Decay is inherent in all components things" and expired at Kushinagar. Enroute visit Vaishali (where Buddha preached his last sermon) visit Asoka pillar, Stupas, Coronation Tank, Bawan Pokhar Temple, Chaumukhi Mahadeva etc. Arrive Kushinagar and check-in at Hotel and overnight at Kushinagar.

DAY 10 KUSHINAGAR - LUMBINI (APPROX. 4-5 HRS) (B)

After breakfast check out of the hotel and proceed for sightseeing visiting Kushinagar – visit cremation stupa, Mahaparinirvana temple and modern Indo Japan-Sri Lanka Buddhist center. Later proceed to Lumbini in Nepal – Birth Place of Lord Buddha. Upon arrival, check-in at the hotel. Overnight: at Lumbini.

DAY 11
LUMBINI - KAPILAVASTU - SRAVASTI (APPROX. 5-6 HRS) (B)

After breakfast check out of the hotel and proceed to Sravasti, en-route visiting the Mayadevi Temple, Asoka Pillar, Garden and Pond, Later drive to Sravasti – here Lord Buddha spent 24 years and performed the miracle of sitting on a 1000 petaled lotus and multiplying himself a million times while fire and water came from his body. Arrive at Sravast and check-in at the hotel. Overnight: stay at Sravasti.

After breakfast at the hotel; proceed for sightseeing visiting to Sahet – Mahet, Angulimal cave. Overnight: stay at Sravasti.

DAY 13
SRAVASTI – LUCKNOW – DELHI (APPROX. 4 HRS)

After breakfast check out of the hotel and proceed to Lucknow train station in time to board the Shathabti Express for Delhi. Upon arrival at New Delhi, you will be met by our representative and transferred to the hotel. Check-in at the hotel. Overnight: stay at Delhi.

DAY 14
DELHI (B)

After breakfast at the hotel; rest of the day you are free for leisure and individual activities. By Noon check out of the hotel. Late in the evening you will be picked from your hotel lobby and transferred to the airport in time to connect your flight back home. TOUR ENDS.
